Description

A vibrant and balanced margarita recipe using only fresh lime juice, premium tequila, and a touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale

2 oz Tequila Blanco
1 oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 oz Cointreau or Triple Sec
1/2 tsp Agave nectar (optional)
Coarse sea salt for the rim
Lime wheel for garnish
Ice cubes

Instructions

Step 1: Rim a rocks glass by rubbing a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it into coarse salt.
Step 2: Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
Step 3: Add the tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave nectar to the shaker.
Step 4: Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.
Step 5: Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
Step 6: Garnish with a lime wheel and serve immediately.

Notes

Always use fresh limes for the best flavor. For a smokier taste, substitute half the tequila with Mezcal.
