Description
A delightful layered dessert featuring a graham cracker crust, a creamy cheesecake filling, fresh strawberries, and vibrant strawberry Jell-O. Perfect for summer and easy to make!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10-12 full sheets)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
2 (3 ounce) packages strawberry flavored Jell-O
2 cups boiling water
2 cups cold water
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined and the crumbs are moistened.
Step 2: Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Refrigerate for at least 15-20 minutes to firm up the crust.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 4: Add the whipped topping to the cream cheese mixture. Gently fold it in with a spatula until just combined.
Step 5: Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled graham cracker crust. Place the dish in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
Step 6: In a separate bowl, whisk together the strawberry Jell-O mix and 2 cups of boiling water until the Jell-O powder is completely dissolved. Stir for about 2 minutes.
Step 7: Add 2 cups of cold water to the dissolved Jell-O mixture. Stir well and let it cool down to room temperature. This is crucial; the Jell-O must be cool but still liquid.
Step 8: While the Jell-O cools, arrange a layer of fresh, sliced strawberries over the cream cheese layer in your dish.
Step 9: Carefully pour the cooled Jell-O mixture over the strawberries and cream cheese layer. Pour slowly over the back of a spoon to prevent disturbing the layers.
Step 10: Return the dish to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4-6 hours, or preferably overnight, until the Jell-O is completely set and firm.
Step 11: Once set, slice into squares and garnish with extra whipped cream and strawberries if desired before serving. Enjoy your delicious no bake strawberry jello lasagna recipe!
Notes
Ensure all layers are chilled thoroughly between steps for the best results and clean layers. For a richer crust, you can lightly toast the graham cracker crust in the oven for 8-10 minutes before chilling.
